I appreciate the love and support, I really do! However, my “war on drugs” has nothing to do with personal addictions. I have none…except for maybe popcorn. My battle is for those that I’ve been surrounded by all my life who are suffering from their own addictions. Family has been involved in gangs, convicted of crimes, friends have wound up in hospitals and caught up in the wrong crowds. Loved ones have overdosed and my roommates and I lost everything we had and almost our lives due to a meth lab. So yes, I’m fighting hard. But for them and the kids who need a role model.
Are you fucking kidding me? THIS is what’s wrong in music entertainment. Not monotonous radio. Not blood-sucking major labels. Not Justin Beiber making a trillion dollars. Not that Rebecca Black chick either.
Okay, so maybe all of those do a mighty fine job of contributing to the suck factor, but this, THIS is the worst offense in my tired eyes:
Having a legitimate chance to reach out to a loyal fan base and taking it for granted with every sip of alcohol or line of coke and destroying everything that you have built for yourself (or a team has tried to build for you).
I would do anything to get the chance to support myself with music, reach out and create a world of connectivity and tour the world this way, but this bitch can’t even get through a song while 20,000 fans actually pay to see her and support her. Maybe some of these folks paid to see the train wreck, but i’m certain that the majority of those fans went because they love and believe in her and her music speaks to them, and she treats them like this? She fucking wastes their time, money and worst of all, their hope for her?
It is so fucking irritating that anyone could take their life, their art, and their fans for granted this way. Appalling.
